Teeter Hang Ups EP-960 Review
Even though the ankle locking system has padding!
Complaining of constant back pain? Regular muscle spasms obstruct your normal activities? Well, here is the cure to all such and similar ailments-the advanced Teeter Hang Ups EP–960. An upgraded version of the earlier inversion tables by Teeter, it is thoroughly beneficial. Although, priced at a slightly higher range, it comes with additional features like a triple lock ankle system, traction handles and a push button to release you from the inverted position. When you weigh your options of-1) consulting the physician regularly and compulsively spending huge amounts on medical bills and; 2) a one-time investment on this unconventional method of obtaining relief, we undoubtedly advise the latter. Considering its durability and sturdy build, we believe it won’t be necessary to spend much on its maintenance either.
For a person of average build, it is easy to operate the Teeter Hang Ups EP–960 without much struggle, since it is not excessively heavy. Furthermore, it comes with preset angle tethers, which allow you to rotate to various degrees of 20, 40 or 60.
About the Teeter Hang Ups EP-960
Size & Storage:
Usually exercise equipment take up a lot of space making it inconvenient for the user to accommodate it in the house. The Teeter Hang Ups EP-960 is however, designed to facilitate easy storage. Unlike a lot of other inversion tables, we could easily fold it flat and store behind the door or slide it under the bed. Furthermore the bed track easily accommodates a person even above 6 feet tall, making it of a desirable size.
Installation & First Time Setup:
Unlike the Teeter Hang Ups EP-560, the Teeter Hang Ups EP-960 needs a lot less assembling. The assembling instructions are provided in the written manual and the DVD contained in the package. We believe the DVD gives more comprehensive step-by-step instructions and since it is a visual aid it is easier for a first time user to put together the table. The time limit claimed by the manufacturers though, isn’t something we would really count on. It definitely takes more time than that. Being reasonably heavy, for a person of frail structure it might become little cumbersome to assemble it all alone; in that case a helping hand is most welcome. All in all, assembling it isn’t really rocket science and is fairly simple.

Comfort & Support:
An aggregate of exceptional engineering elements, the Teeter EP 960 is almost synonymous with comfort, convenience and support. It has pre-set rotation angle tethers which invert your body to 20, 40 or 60 degree angles in order to avoid unanticipated full inversion. Loaded with unique features like traction handles for better decompression, stretching and oscillation, ideally balanced and comfortable track bed, it has been designed keeping comfort and support as priority. Highly flexible and well designed; it boosts spinal comfort, better grip and additional stretching.
Uncomfortable ankle clamps is the most common complaint in inversion tables. But the Teeter EP 960 has an easy-to-reach, ergonomic padded ankle cups with a triple lock mechanism which ensures complete security when fully inverted with minimal strain on the ankles. Beginners may face temporary sore ankles but the benefits of EP 960 will surely negate it.

The track bed is well cushioned and can bear a weight of maximum 300 lbs, which is the usual weight standard. As opposed to regular nylon or vinyl, the ComforTrak bed is less prone to wear and tear. Ease of Use:
In exchange for the extra money that we shelled out compared to the EP-560, we got an excessively user-friendly and improved version of it. It comes with enhanced features like-1) traction handles for added stretch and easy oscillation, 2) Stretch max handles for better grip and stretch, 3) accurate balance for perfect rotation, 4) push button to release from full inversion. These features make it more adaptable for the user. The biggest USP of the EP-960 is the release button which reduces the effort, of bringing the body back to a horizontal position, by merely pushing a button. Beginning with barely 3-4 minutes, one can increase the time to the limit one’s body can sustain.
Warranty & Brand Image:
Manufactured by a reputed company, which is over 3 decades old the Teeter Hang Ups EP-960 is covered under a 5 year manufacture warranty, inclusive of all components. It also covers any damage caused to the product due to poor packaging during delivery and is easily replaceable. Since Teeter has been propagating inversion therapy since 1981, it is highly improbable it would compromise on its service to tarnish its image.
On the whole, once you use the Teeter Hang Ups EP-960 you’ll never want to part with it. We highly recommend it for all those who suffer from chronic back pain and even those who just want to reduce their stress levels. One dissuading factor could be the price, but the incomparable positive characteristics which give a rejuvenating effect are bound to overshadow the cost. But in case, you are hesitant to pay the extra dollars and can do without the traction handles, the release button and other extra features, the Teeter EP-560 would suffice your requirements.
